The best way I can describe it is like a halucination only with smelling not visual. I've had weird experiences suddenly smelling things that aren't there, one time it was peaches and another time strawberries. One time my boyfriend noticed and he said "wow, that's weird.we don't normally see birds here". Hundreds of them in a tree, or on the ground right by my deck, making quite the racket. A few times since she has passed I have heard a loud gathering of birds right by my house. There aren't many birds in the area, a few crows, robins and various small birds here and there. I have witnessed some weird bird activity outside my condo townhouse. A week later I popped into a second hand store, and right above the cash was a Charlie Bird record. But I never forgot it.Īt my mothers funeral and visitation, I played music by Charlie Bird on my bluetooth speaker. It was just funny to me, she offhandedly said "where did this feather come from?" or something like that.I just shrugged. I had heard about the feather phenomenon, but didn't say anything to her. The day after she passed my sister noticed a white feather in her jacket. In her last couple of days I asked her for special requests and she said "Charlie Bird" (a jazz musician). Throughout her illness I would play her jazz music on my phone. It startled her, because jazz was my mothers favourite. She said that when she left the hospital, across the street there was loud jazz music playing from someones house. The last day my mother was alive, my sister went to say good bye with her children. I just find this all very interesting! I'm really not the kind of person to believe in any of this kind of stuff, but I will share the things that I have experienced (and a few things my sister has mentioned) I'm not exactly an atheist - my boyfriend says I'm an agnostic atheist or something.in other words, I don't subscribe to any organized religion, but can accept that we just don't have very many answers to a lot of things, so I'm open. but I've never had a conversation in the real world with anyone about it. When you lost someone close to you, did you see signs? I've heard of feathers, electronic disturbances etc. I'm sure that there have already been many forum threads on this topic, but I'm really curious to hear about your experiences. Luhrmann, Hanks and Butler were joined on the red carpet by Priscilla Presley, who has been supportive of Butler and his performance in Elvis.Hi everyone. But his story did make its way to the French Riviera this week, debuting at the Cannes Film Festival ahead of its U.S. The singer never launched a worldwide tour and played only three venues outside the U.S. during his career, all of them in Canada in 1957. He also took a trip to Tennessee to experience Graceland, where he met Presley’s ex-wife, Priscilla Presley. “So when I learned that, it was one of those things where I got chills, and I just thought, 'OK, I can connect to that.'”īutler's immersion into the character continued with the help of vocal and movement coaches who helped him talk, sing and shake like Presley. “His mother passed away when he was 23, and my mum passed away when I was 23,” Butler said. Medical issues aside, Butler discovered in his research for the role that he had something else in common with the music pioneer. The actor spent the six-month hiatus wallpapering himself with Presley's mannerisms, look and demeanor, and said his body responded with an unforeseen health issue once filming wrapped and he was finally able to let the character go. “The next day I woke up at four in the morning with excruciating pain, and I was rushed to hospital,” Butler said, with the magazine noting that Butler was diagnosed with a virus that simulates appendicitis and spent a week bedridden. Health problems including genetic and autoimmune issues also plagued Presley, who died in 1977 at the age of 42. “I think the film would have been very different if we had started shooting at that point, and I’m grateful I had the time to let myself marinate.” “Just images of Elvis everywhere, from every time period,” Butler told British GQ. Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, eventually traveled back to the U.S., but Butler opted to remain in Australia while the project was on hold, living in a small apartment surrounded by pictures of the man he would later become onscreen.
